I am deeply sorry for your loss and saddened by the fact that no mother should go through the painful process of burying her child.

I just re-read the story of how Marcus founded divisare with his cousin and the main takeaway is that he was a visionary with clarity of his ‘digital mission’, which was to create a curated virtual space to allow other architects to expand their knowledge, in a slow web fashion, without advertising. This vision is unique in the ‘fashionable’ world of online publications, which divisare opted to shun. He was rowing in a different direction than all other online publications and that’s why his web-archive is trusted and sought after by architects, young and old as me, from around the globe. Marcus’ vision touched many.

I suppose divisare will be one of his legacies, a feeling that I am sure many architects would have if they had the luck of serendipitous encounter when my wife and I met you three years ago on the Rome-Verona train ride. I am thankful for your note announcing the loss of Marcus.

My heart and soul is with you and I wish you peace during this difficult period.
